Training for farm businesses
Increasingly, modern farms with diverse crop and livestock enterprises have become highly complex business operations requiring a broad range of skills to manage.
Farm business management skill set units are designed to address the unique needs of the agriculture industry and have been developed in consultation with the industry.
The Farm business management skill set is a group of four units of study designed to equip you with business skills to better manage the business-side of your farm. The four units are:

To complete Farm business management units you must enrol in a qualification, and then select the units you wish to complete that make up the skill set. For example, to enrol in the Farm business management units you can enrol in one of the following qualifications, and complete the four units:
- Diploma of Agriculture
- Diploma of Agribusiness Management
- Diploma of Irrigation Management
- Diploma of Production Horticulture
- Advanced Diploma of Agribusiness Management
However, it is recommended that you complete the full set of units or the full qualification to maximise the benefit of undertaking study.
