Fabulous views are just one advantage of living in Regional Victoria
Independent research recently revealed around two million Victorians would consider moving to country Victoria for a better quality of life.
Research highlights include:
- 11 per cent of Melbournians are planning to move to Regional and Rural Victoria in the next three years, and a further 39 per cent of Melbournians would like to move there 'one day' in the future. Meanwhile, 49% of Melbournians are unlikely to ever move.
- The main reasons for moving to Regional and Rural Victoria were family (48 per cent), employment (44 per cent) and lifestyle (27 per cent) and these aligned well with the main factors that would influence a move to Regional and Rural Victoria which were jobs (31 per cent) and lifestyle (18 per cent).
- The Regional and Rural Victorian municipalities with the most appeal as places to which to relocate were Ballarat (20 per cent), Greater Bendigo (16 per cent) and Greater Geelong (13 per cent).
