- Australia Rural Leadership Program
A unique opportunity for selected rural and regional leaders to undertake a program of personal growth and develop the skills, knowledge and networks needed to be effective in regional, state, national and international arenas.
- TRAIL Program
The Australian rural leadership program runs TRAIL (Training Rural Australians In Leadership), an eight day residential leadership program for emerging leaders.
- Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership program
The program, supported by NAB Agribusiness, is an intense five-day workshop conducted on the college campus at Geelong, commencing on the last Sunday in June each year.
- National Rural Women's Coalition E-Learning Leadership Program
The program aims to build the leadership and representative capacity of women in primary industries, to strengthen the productivity of their businesses and workplaces. The core of the program is to further develop the resilience of rural, regional and remote Australian communities in a rapidly changing climate.
- Regional Community Leadership Program
The program benefits communities by building the business leadership skills, capabilities and knowledge of regional leaders in the business, local government and community sectors. Check your eligibility at the above link.

Leadership Victoria exists to provide knowledge, to create networks and to enable people to create positive change within a global community.
Grants, funding and scholarships
- Stamp Duty Exemption and Concession Scheme
Eligible young farmers will be able to obtain a full stamp duty exemption for first farmland purchases worth up to $300 000, while a concession applies for purchases worth up to $400 000.
- Rural Finance Scholarships
Rural Finance is committed to the ongoing education and skills development of young farmers and agricultural leaders. To this end, Rural Finance's Scholarship program is designed to foster scientific, technical, management and financial excellence in agriculture. Rural Finance offer Scholarships in Vocational Education, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies.
- Gardiner Foundation Education Scholarships
In 2012 the Gardiner Foundation made available $3.26 million of new funding for innovative projects which create impact across the dairy value chain. There are a variety of scholarship programs to assist with undergraduate or TAFE further education.
- Macpherson Smith Rural Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship provides up to $15,000 a year for up to the first three years of the chosen undergraduate course, subject to satisfactory annual results.
- Careers That Matter (Rural and Regional Students Financial Support)
Prospective students and their parents are encouraged to explore the extensive range of financial support opportunities available to assist with tertiary studies. Benefits vary greatly from a few hundred dollars to quite a few thousand, often averaging $2,000. These financial support packages assist with education and accommodation expenses and are available for one year or more.
- Pat Barkley Foundation
The Pat Barkley Foundation assists the Australian citrus industry maintain access to world-class technical expertise by providing international travel grants to attend scientific meetings, workshops or short-term training programs, or to visit world-leading scientists overseas
