Licence to introduce diseased sheep into Victoria for immediate slaughter
Livestock Disease Control Act 1994
In accordance with the provisions of Section 10 of the Livestock Disease Control Act 1994, a person may bring into or cause or permit or allow to be brought into Victoria any diseased sheep infected with ovine footrot, ovine lice or ovine ked provided that those sheep go direct to an abattoir or knackery for immediate slaughter.
PERIOD OF LICENCE: 1 November 2015– 31 October 2018
Conditions of licence:
- The sheep must be correctly identified in accordance with the National Livestock Identification System (Sheep and Goats) legislated requirements.
- The sheep must be accompanied by a true and accurate completed National Vendor Declaration.
- The sheep must be consigned directly to an abattoir or knackery.
