Wild Dog Management Zone Work Plans
These Wild Dog Management Zone (WDMZ) work plans are developed annually by industry and government to create a shared understanding that enables stakeholders to effectively work together using all available tools including trapping, baiting, shooting, exclusion fencing, guardian animals and good animal husbandry to reduce the impacts of wild dogs.
Community workshops capture local experience and knowledge and include the development of community approaches for wild dog control in each of the 16 management zones across Gippsland and North East Victoria. Community wild dog control groups' activities are reflected in the work plans.
The work plans include operational targets for both government and community wild dog control activities on private and public land, over the coming year and support a coordinated, integrated approach to wild dog management.
