PhD research opportunities

Agriculture Victoria Research’s Higher Education Program works in partnership with academia and industry to train and develop the next generation of leading STEM researchers and scientists for the benefit of Victoria’s and Australia’s agricultural industries and regional communities.

About the fellowships

Delivering transformational science innovations for plant and animal industries, Agriculture Victoria Research hosts PhD students enrolled through our strategic Higher Education partners, undertaking scientific research at AgriBio and/or Agriculture Victoria’s SmartFarms.

Successful candidates will receive:

  • A $35,000 per annum (tax-free) scholarship for up to three and a half years.
  • Access to professional development programs.
  • International travel opportunities.
  • Access to state-of-the-art technologies.

Applications

Successful applicants must meet Australian University entry requirements for a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
