Condition 54F – Soil

The movement into Victoria of any soil associated with growing, harvesting, processing or transport of any potatoes is prohibited unless it:
- originates from an area covered by an area freedom certificate, issued by an officer responsible for agriculture in the State or Territory from which the host material originated, certifying that the area from is known to be free of PMTV; or
- enters Victoria in accordance with a permit issued by an Agriculture Victoria. To apply for a permit, visit the Plant biosecurity permit page or contact market.access@agriculture.vic.gov.au

Verification requirement
Where requested by an inspector, agricultural equipment entering or being imported into Victoria under a permit must be:
- presented to an inspector for inspection; or
- verified by a person accredited to do so by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.
