Targeted ground baiting transects are located on public land:

  • along the northern private and public land interface from the Victorian and South Australian border to the Ouyen-Patchewollock Road
  • the private and public land interface north, west and south of Patchewollock
  • along the southern private and public land interface from the Victorian and South Australian border to Netherby.

Trapping and priority 2 ground baiting transects are a network of tracks. These are located on public land:

  • west of Patchewollock
  • north and west of Yaapeet
  • north and west of Rainbow
  • north of Yanac.

The map shows that within the Big Desert and Wyperfeld wild dog management zone there is 744,851 hectares of public land, 209,540 hectares of land under the three-kilometre livestock protection buffer and 621,230 of private land. There is one Wild Dog Controller, with a capacity for 3,000 trap nights and 403 kilometres of targeted ground baiting transects.
