Join Angus Donaldson, sustainability advisor with Barwon Water, for a site visit and presentation about Barwon Water's offset program.

The presentation will include a discussion of two Environmental Plantings projects, with insights into their assessment, design, and delivery. Angus will explain the architecture of the national offset scheme, the Australian Carbon Credit Unit Scheme, (ACCU), and provide information on the Full Carbon Accounting Model (FullCAM) carbon calculator.

The session will begin with a walk around the property Kookaburra's Rest, which is an example of the sustainable management of trees for timber and fuel for both residential and farming purposes. You will be shown buildings constructed from trees grown on the property and a self-made mill and firewood processor.

Angus will then present and lead a discussion on carbon opportunities for small growers.

We will provide afternoon tea.
