Many of us experienced fantastic pasture growth last spring, but with low stocking rates much of this couldn’t be effectively grazed.
Whilst it’s great to have ground cover, we know that this excess dry pasture can reduce pasture quality following the autumn break.
The Surfcoast and Bellarine Bestwool, Bestlamb group and BS Beef Producers group invite producers to a free workshop with Lisa Warn from Lisa Warn Ag Consulting to discuss some tips and tools for improving pasture quality for the season ahead.
The practical session will help you assess the current state of your pastures to decide what action to take to optimise pasture growth and quality.
We will discuss pasture establishment and the use of Palaton Rhapno, a new (to many of us) summer fodder crop to help fill the summer feed gap.
Lunch will be provided at "The Whiskery" at Bellarine Distillery.
