Drought support
The Victorian Government provided a $146.5 million Drought Support Package to support farmers and communities in response to the recent drought. As farmers move into recovery, some programs have now closed, with others still open.
Statewide drought programs include:
- Drought support events (see the main events page for listings)
- Look Over the Farm Gate community events (to be delivered by 31 December 2026)
- Household Financial Relief (for south west Victoria)
- Farm Drought Support Grants (now closed)
- Farm Advisory Service (now closed)
Applications for Farm Drought Support Grants and Farm Advisory Service closed on 30 September 2026.

In addition, the recent announcement by the Victorian and Australian governments of more than $66.8 million to continue the Victorian Farm Business Resilience Program and the Regional Drought Resilience Program through to 2029 will support farmers and communities to prepare for future drought conditions.
