Gippsland irrigators encouraged to join GINetwork

14 October 2026

A new farmer network led by Agriculture Victoria is open to irrigators across Gippsland to share knowledge, experience and gain practical solutions to common issues.

Agriculture Victoria Irrigation Extension Officer, Stephanie Veskoukis, said the Gippsland Irrigator Network (GIN) recognises that some of the most valuable learning happens through conversations with peers.

‘We know it’s important for producers to get together with peers who have faced similar challenges, tested new ideas, and developed practical solutions on their own farms.’

Irrigators can get involved by submitting a simple Expression of Interest.

‘The network will be designed to meet the needs of participants based on factors such as irrigation system, enterprise type, location and areas of interest,’ she said.

‘The GIN will create opportunities for irrigators to learn from one another and build lasting connections.’

Over 12 months, regular catchups will be facilitated by Agriculture Victoria including farm visits and local gatherings, driven by the group’s areas of interest.

‘Whether you're new to irrigation, looking to refine your approach, or share your knowledge with others, GIN creates opportunities to connect, learn and contribute to a stronger irrigation community,’ said Miss Veskoukis.

Interested Gippsland irrigators can fill out the Expression of Interest form.
