Description of the area
The Goulburn Valley Agricultural Chemical Control Area (ACCA) is all that area that includes the parishes of:
- Baulkamaugh
- Cobram
- Congupna
- Coomboona
- Drumanure
- Dunbubalane
- Girgarre East
- Kaarimba
- Katamatite
- Katandra
- Katunga
- Kyabram East
- Mooroopna
- Mooroopna West
- Mundoona
- Murchison North
- Naringaningalook
- Pine Lodge
- Shepparton
- Tallygaroopna
- Taripta
- Tongala
- Toolamba
- Toolamba West
- Undera
- Yarroweyah
and that part of the parish of:
- Arcadia, north-west of Goulburn Valley Highway
- Boosey, north of Katamatite-Yarrawonga Road
- Caniambo, north of Bells Road
- Dargalong, north of Goulburn Valley Highway to main road number 5376
- Girgarre, east of Girgarre-Rushworth [or Curr] Road
- Kialla, west of Goulburn Valley Highway and north of Mitchell and Armstrong Road
- Kotupna, east and south of the Murray Goulburn Highway
- Kyabram, north of Kyabram-Rochester Road and east of Girgarre-Rushworth [or Curr] Road
- Molka, north-west of Goulburn Valley Highway
- Moora, east of Girgarre-Rushworth [or Curr] Road
- Murchison, north of Rushworth-Murchison Road to the bridge over the Goulburn River

When the restrictions apply
The restrictions on the use of prohibited chemicals in the Goulburn Valley Agricultural Chemical Control Area apply between 1 September and 30 April of the following year (inclusive).

To determine if a chemical product contains any of these prohibited chemicals:
- read the chemical's label and accompanying information sheet or
- search the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) PubCRIS database.
What is mister application?
A mister is spraying equipment that uses air for dispersing the spray. It includes:
- mist blowers, orchard sprayers, air blast sprayers, air shear sprayers
- any other spraying equipment that produces a droplet size spectrum that is classified as fine or very fine under ASAE S572 FEB04, Spray Nozzle Classification by Droplet Spectra.
It does not include air assisted boom sprayers or twin fluid nozzle sprayers).
Keep records of chemical use
All users of agricultural and veterinary chemicals, including ACUP holders, are required to keep specified records for all chemical products used within 48 hours of using the chemical product, and to keep these records for a period of two years.
