Every dog and cat 3 months of age and over must be registered with your local council.
The current fee schedule for pet registration (under the Domestic Animals Act 1994) was introduced on 11 April 2013.
Under the Act, local councils pay the Treasurer $4.10 for each cat and dog registration fee, $20 for each domestic animal business registration fee collected.
