10 years of working with Aboriginal landholders in Victoria

In 2025 we reviewed our service to understand what has worked well, and how we can improve support for First Peoples in agriculture.

Several First Peoples organisations shared their reflections on the service.

They told us that:

  • our team helps participants turn ideas into practical action and enterprise development
  • engagement is respectful, and grounded in self-determination and supports two-way knowledge sharing
  • strong, long-term relationships have formed between First Peoples landholders, Agriculture Victoria and partner agencies
  • participant-led activities ensure relevance and accessibility
  • participants value the delivery, content, and outcomes, which includes increased skills and business growth.
