Targeted ground baiting transects are located on public land:
- south of Tallangatta
- east of Gundowring, Running Creek and Tawonga
- north-east of Mitta Mitta
- south-east of Dartmouth
- south-east, south and west of Granite Flat.
Trapping and priority 2 ground baiting transects are a network of tracks. These are located on public land:
- south of Tallangatta
- east and south-east of Sandy Creek
- surrounding Eskdale, Mitta Mitta, Dartmouth and Granite Flat.
The map shows within the Mitta Mitta and Sandy Creek wild dog management zone there is 100,890 hectares of public land, 64,270 hectares of land under the three-kilometre livestock protection buffer and 37,022 of private land. There is one Wild Dog Controller, with a capacity for 3,000 trap nights and 92 kilometres of targeted ground baiting transects.
There is one Community Wild Dog Control group located within the Mitta Mitta and Sandy Creek wild dog management zone. The Mitta Mitta Community Wild Dog Control group includes private land near Eskdale, Mitta Mitta and Granite Flat.
Aerial baiting occurs in remote areas of public land within the Mitta Mitta and Sandy Creek wild dog management zone. Aerial baiting occurs twice a year on public land between Bucheen Creek, Eskdale and Mitta Mitta.
