Farm Business Resilience Program Supplier Register

Agriculture Victoria, within the Department of Environment, Energy and Climate Action (DEECA) is delivering the Victorian Farm Business Resilience Program to support farmers develop the knowledge and skills they need to improve their farm business and be better equipped to manage the impacts of drought and a changing climate. The Program will run until 30 June 2025.

Agriculture Victoria has established a Supplier Register to engage technical consultants to deliver prescribed Program services.

Interested suppliers can apply to deliver Program services by following the registration instructions below. Successful suppliers will be placed on the Farm Business Resilience Program Supplier Register and may be engaged to deliver Program services via direct requests from DEECA when required.

The Farm Business Resilience Program is jointly funded through the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Victorian Government’s Future Agriculture Skills Capacity Fund.

Scope of services

The required Program services are:

  1. Presentation of subject matter expertise
  2. Group facilitation
  3. One-on-one facilitation.

Delivery methods include face-to-face, online group and one-on-one session delivery.

Key learning areas

Delivery of Program services must align with the following key learning areas:

Strategic farm business management and planning – including getting bank ready, financial literacy, benchmarking and monitoring performance, business planning and action planning.

Farm risk management and informed decision making – including risk management, profitable decision making, seasonal and climate risk, climate adaptation, biosecurity, emergency preparedness, adoption of innovation and AgTech.

Natural resource management – including soil and water management, pasture and nutrient management, soil carbon and emissions, shelter and shade and farm planning.

Personal and social resilience – including succession planning, people management, work health and safety, mental health, leadership development and time management.

Engagement process

There are two stages to the Farm Business Resilience Supplier Register:

Stage 1: Registration – Suppliers seeking to be included on the Register can apply by completing and returning a registration form (see template registration form at Part C) (Registration Stage). See the Registration section below for further information.

Stage 2: Request for Quotation (RFQ) – Suppliers included on the Register may be invited to respond to a RFQ for specific Services (Quotation Stage). Requests will be made by DEECA through a written RFQ. See the Farm Business Resilience Program RFQ template document.

Registration 

Suppliers seeking to be included on the Supplier Register must complete, sign and submit the registration form (Part C of the Invitation to Register document) to FBRPRegister@agriculture.vic.gov.au.

Suppliers can register at any time during the duration of the Program. Agriculture Victoria will evaluate each registration and inform suppliers of the outcome of application via email. Registrations are reviewed quarterly.

To be included on the Farm Business Resilience Program Supplier Register, suppliers must meet all registration criteria (Appendix 2 of the FBRP Supplier Register Invitation to Register document).
