The Victorian Wine Strategy
As part of the 2023–24 State Budget, the Victorian Government announced funding for a new Victorian Wine Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for industry and government to collaborate and set new directions for the industry, which has experienced major changes over the last 3 to 4 years. The strategy is being co-designed by the wine industry and the Victorian Government.
Public engagement
Anyone with an interest in the future of Victoria’s prestigious wine industry is invited to have their say on the Victorian Wine Strategy – preliminary design document.
You can review and comment on the document by visiting Engage Victoria to register for an online forum, complete a survey and make a submission.
We want to hear from all wine industry stakeholders about their aspirations for the industry. This includes everyone involved – from grapegrowers and winemakers to logistics and exporters, hospitality and retail, academics, supporting industries and consumers.
Industry engagement
In May 2024 Agriculture Victoria appointed atticusnow consultants to undertake engagement with the wine industry. The industry was engaged from May to September 2024 through interviews, regional and online forums and a co-design workshop. Over 180 people participated in the engagement.
