Drought support

The Victorian Government is continuing to provide a $146.5 million Drought Support Package for farmers and communities across Victoria that have been impacted by drought.

It includes programs for farmers, farming families and rural communities, across the state, with several specifically for farmers in the south west, on top of a range of support services that are always available to farmers.

This map shows which local government areas (LGAs) are eligible to apply for $5,000 or $10,000 On-Farm Drought Infrastructure Grants, technical decision-making and the Look Over the Farm Gate mental health and wellbeing program, as follows.

Applicants in these LGAs are eligible to apply for $10,000 grants:

  • Ararat
  • Moyne
  • Colac Otway
  • Pyrenees
  • Corangamite
  • Southern Grampians
  • Glenelg
  • Surf Coast
  • Golden Plains
  • Warrnambool
  • City of Greater Geelong
  • West Wimmera (postcodes 3312, 3317, 3318 and 3319)

Applicants in all other parts of Victoria are eligible to apply for $5,000 grants.
