Celebrating culture and sharing stories

Agriculture Victoria encourages staff to strengthen their knowledge of Aboriginal culture.

We celebrate Aboriginal culture by providing opportunities for all staff to participate in National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC week activities.

To celebrate the 2020 NAIDOC theme of Always Was Always Will be, we heard from Bruce Pascoe, who shared his work on the reconsideration of the hunter-gatherer tag for pre-colonial Aboriginal peoples.

We also celebrated the 2021 NAIDOC theme of Heal Country with a conversation between Uncle Ron Murray and some of Agriculture Victoria’s staff.
