Localities within the Tallangatta wild dog management zone include:
- Bullioh
- Dartmouth
- Georges Creek
- Koetong
- Lucyvale
- Mitta Mitta
- Nariel Valley
- Old Tallangatta
- Shelley
- Tallangatta East
- Tallangatta South
- Tallangatta Valley.
Trapping and priority 1 ground-baiting transects are located on public land:
- between Tallangatta Valley and Koetong
- east, south and west of Bucheen Creek
- north and south-east of Dartmouth.
Trapping and priority 2 ground-baiting transects are a network of tracks. These are located on public land:
- south of Koetong
- east and south-east of Tallangatta Valley
- surrounding Bucheen Creek and Dartmouth.
The map shows within the Tallangatta wild dog management zone there is 60,072 hectares of public land, 39,245 hectares of land under the 3 km livestock protection buffer and 38,792 hectares of private land. There are 2 wild dog controllers, with a capacity for 6,000 trap nights and 79 km of priority 1 ground-baiting transects.
There is one community wild dog control group located within the Tallangatta wild dog management zone. The Tallangatta Valley Community Wild Dog Control group includes private land near Tallangatta Valley and Bucheen Creek.
Aerial baiting occurs in remote areas of public land west of the Tallangatta wild dog management zone in the adjoining Mitta Mitta and Sandy Creek wild dog management zone. Aerial baiting occurs twice a year on public land located between Eskdale, Mitta Mitta and Bucheen Creek.
