Financial assistance
Disaster recovery allowance and Personal Hardship Assistance program.
People who live or work in bushfire affected parts of Victoriamay be eligible for the Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) and/or the Personal Hardship Assistance program.

The area of farmland burnt by the fire is 13,538 ha, with 596 kms of fencing, 14 sheds, 4 vehicles and 10,053 ha of pasture.
Livestock and horse owners are also encouraged to ensure they have a Property Identification Code (PIC) and their details are up to date. Having a PIC is crucial during an emergency as it allows us to locate your property and get in touch with you if needed.

Our staff will continue to work with and support farming families, farm businesses and rural communities as they respond and recover from the impacts of the bushfires.
