Fees and charges for Plant Biosecurity services

These fees and charges are effective as of July 2023.

Chargeable services

Agriculture Victoria provides a range of services in accordance with set fees and charges. These services are provided to facilitate market access in line with state and national quarantine requirements and are indexed annually according to the Monetary Units Act 2004.

Costs incurred are recovered through fees charged for services including, but not limited to:

  • application fees for arrangements
  • auditing arrangements
  • inspection and verification of consignments
  • issuing market access certificates
  • undertaking travel associated with services
  • incidentals, including certificate books and trap supplies.

Agriculture Victoria have sought to make the fees and charges as accurate and complete as possible, however updates may be required if service provisions change. Stated fees and charges are inclusive of GST.

Service fees

Fees are applied for each 15 minute block, or part thereof. Service delivery charges may include administrative processes, such as confirming quarantine movement conditions and providing the required certificate or audit report. Arrangement audits are capped at 60 minutes, with an additional fee for the issuance of non-conformance reports.

Travel fees

A fee must be charged to account for return travel time from the nearest designated Agriculture Victoria office. This fee is applied for each 15 minute block, or part thereof, travelled. Travel is capped at 90 minutes.
