Fees and charges for plant biosecurity services

These fees and charges are effective as of 1 July 2026.

Chargeable services

Agriculture Victoria provides a range of services in accordance with set fees and charges. These services are provided to facilitate market access in line with state and national quarantine requirements and are indexed annually according to the Monetary Units Act 2004.

Agriculture Victoria has sought to make the fees and charges as accurate and complete as possible, however updates may be required if service provisions change. Fees and charges are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

Service fees

Fees are applied per 15 minutes or part thereof. Service delivery charges may include administrative processes, such as confirming quarantine movement conditions and providing the required certificate or audit report.

Arrangement audits are capped at 60 minutes, with an additional fee for the issue of non-conformance reports.  Distribution of audit flies for required arrangements are charged at the standard audit fee rate.

There is no charge for the issue of permits, however a fee may apply if an inspection is required to issue the permit.

Travel fees

A fee must be charged to account for return travel time from the nearest designated Agriculture Victoria office. This fee is applied per 15 minutes, or part thereof, travelled. Travel is capped at 90 minutes.
