Get into Grains aligns with Levels 5–6 of the Biological component of the Victorian F–10 curriculum.

Overview

Get into Grains has students explore the importance of preserving the diversity of crop plants. In this workshop students will:

  • undertake a tour of the grain storage facility at the Australian Grains Genebank
  • investigate crop seed adaptations
  • investigate scientific methods of classification
  • investigate how different grains relate to commonplace foods.
