Australian plague locust online learning module

This short course has been developed to assist Victorian landholders and public land managers in identifying, reporting and managing Australian plague locusts on their land. This course will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

The course covers:

  • the importance of controlling locusts
  • how to identify locusts
  • the Australian Plague Locust lifecycle and behaviour
  • migration, swarms and outbreaks
  • how to report an Australian Plague Locust
  • managing locusts
  • important information for landholders and key industries.

How to view the eLearning video module

  1. Access the Australian plague locust eLearning.
  2. The eLearning is hosted on Agriculture Victoria’s Learning Management System (LMS). You will need to Sign In.
  3. If you are not a member, you will need to create an account to access the online courses. Click on Sign Up and enter your details, you only need to do this once.
  4. Click on Register.
  5. You may now Launch the eLearning module.
  6. Work your way through the course at your own pace. You can stop at any time and return when you are ready.
  7. To return to the course, you will be able to find it in your Dashboard or Goal Centre.
